One of the pure bulldog breeds is the Perro De Presa Mallorquin

During the 17th century, when the British took Minorca under their possession, the British people took their guard and fighter dogs along with them to the Balearics.

And in the 18th century, when the blood sport of bull baiting was popular, this breed was discovered to be suitable for this sport, and people used this breed for blood sports. At the time, this breed was given another name, Ca De Bou, which means "bull-dog."

One of the Spanish books called the Studbook shows that this breed existed during that time as well.

Perro De Presa Mallorquin officially exhibited and got entry in the dog show as well in 1929, and this breed was recognised and registered by Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) in 1964.

This breed is known by few other names as well which are:-Mallorquin Bulldog, Silverbacks, Mallorquin Mastiff, Ca de Bou, Majorca Mastiff, Majorcan Bulldog, Perro Dogo Mallorquin

Since this breed is from bulldog bathing this breed has fighting spirit, and this breed has Molosser type body structure, but they has medium size body.

They have a strong and powerful body, their heads are strong and broad, they have a wide face with loose and thick skin, and their jaw is very strong.
